This policy explains what personal information we collect through danielcavalli.com, how we use it, who we share it with and how you can access it or ask questions about it. We handle personal information in line with the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles.
This website is operated by Dan Cavalli (referred to as we, us and our). You can reach us through the contact form on this website.
We collect personal information you give us directly. Depending on what you use on the site, that can include your name and email address when you join the email list, download a resource, buy a book or send a question through Ask Dan or the contact form; your booking details when you schedule a Zoom session, including your name, email and the times you select; and the content of any question or message you send us.
When you buy a book directly through this website, payment is processed by Stripe. Your card details go directly to Stripe and we don’t see or store them. We receive confirmation of your purchase and the details needed to deliver it. If you buy Blueprint for Making Millions through Amazon, that purchase happens entirely on Amazon’s platform under Amazon’s privacy policy, and we don’t receive your personal or payment information from it.
Like most websites, we may also collect technical information automatically, such as your IP address, browser type, pages visited and how you found the site, through cookies and standard analytics tools. You can disable cookies in your browser, though parts of the site may not work as intended.
We use your information to deliver what you’ve asked for: sending you books, tools and resources you’ve downloaded or bought, answering questions you’ve sent, running Zoom sessions you’ve booked and operating the email list. If you’ve joined the email list or bought or downloaded something, we may also send you emails about books, tools, resources and offers. Every email includes an unsubscribe link and you can opt out at any time. We don’t sell your personal information to anyone.
We share personal information only with the service providers needed to run this website and deliver what you’ve requested. These include Stripe for payment processing, our email platform for delivering resources and running the email list, Zoom for one on one sessions, the scheduling system for bookings and our website hosting provider. Each provider receives only what it needs to do its job.
Some of these providers store or process information outside Australia, including in the United States. Where that happens, the information is handled under the provider’s own privacy terms, and we take reasonable steps to deal only with reputable providers. We may also disclose personal information where the law requires it.
Personal information is held in the systems of the service providers described above, protected by access controls and the security measures those platforms provide. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, but we take reasonable steps to protect personal information from misuse, interference, loss and unauthorised access, modification or disclosure. We keep personal information only as long as it’s needed for the purposes described in this policy or as the law requires, and then take reasonable steps to destroy or de-identify it.
You can ask us at any time what personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct it or ask us to delete it. Contact us through the contact form on this website and we’ll respond within a reasonable time. Unsubscribing from the email list can be done instantly using the link in any email.
If you believe we’ve mishandled your personal information, contact us first through the contact form and we’ll look into it and respond. If you’re not satisfied with our response, you can complain to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner at oaic.gov.au.
